The Goessel volleyball team went 2-0 Tuesday night at Peabody, defeating Berean 25-16, 25-19 and Peabody-Burns 25-13, 25-15.
Kory Hiebert led the team in kills with 16, and had 15 downed blocks. Hiebert was 18-18 serving with three aces. Courtney Berkholz was 21-22 serving with five aces. The team was 91 percent serving for the night and totaled 18 aces.
These wins bring the Bluebirds’ overall record to 13-5.
Goessel is scheduled to meet Little River and Sedgwick on the 26th and will play host to Canton-Galva, Bennington and Trinity on Oct. 3 at 4 p.m.
