Bad weather interrupts Marion cross-country meet

ORIGINALLY WRITTEN
Cross country teams from Canton-Galva, Centre, Goessel, Peabody-Burns and Marion were scheduled to run at the Marion Invitational cross country meet on Sept. 21 at Marion Lake-but the event was canceled because of severe weather.

Some runners finished after the cancellation was announced and received no official time, score or place.

Unofficially, Andrew Topham of PBHS ran the full distance in 16 minutes, 38 seconds.

All five schools are scheduled to run again on Sept. 28.

Marion and Centre will run at Council Grove at 4 p.m.

Goessel and Peabody-Burns are set for 4 p.m. at Berean Academy.

Canton-Galva is scheduled to run at 4:30 p.m. at Halstead.
