Hillsboro rolls over Ellinwood, 46-7

Hillsboro had no trouble taking care of winless Ellinwood Friday night as the Trojans thrashed the Eagles, 46-7, in Ellinwood.



Hillsboro scored on its first offensive play from scrimage when quarterback Spencer Brown connected with wide receiver Troy Frick for a 44-yard scoring pass less than 1:30 into the game.



HHS extended the lead to 21-0 after one quarter on a 1-yard runs by Michael Suderman and Jacob Yoder. By halftime the margin was 41-0 when the the Trojans scored three more times, this time on a 26-yard run by Brown, and runs of 3 and 1 yard by Lucas Hamm.



The continuous clock ran the entire second half, but Hillsboro added its seventh touchdown on a 6-yard run by Hamm for a 47-0 lead four minutes into the third quarter. Ellnwood scored against the HHS JV late in the game to avoid the shutout.



Hillsboro improves to 3-1 with the win while Ellinwood drops to 0-4.
