John Thiessen

John Luke Thiessen, son of Lance and Kaylin Thiessen of Peabody, was born Aug. 31 at Newton Medical Center.

He weighed 8 pounds, 6 ounces and was 191⁄2 inches long.

He joins four siblings: Benjamin, 8, Michael, 6, Peter, 4, and Esther, 23 months.

The paternal grandparents are Orval and Agnes Thiessen of Peabody, and the paternal great-grandparents are Frank and Katherine Fast of Lynden, Wash.

The maternal grandparents are Paul and Rosella Funk of Inman.

Cole Smith

Chelse R. Brunner of Ramona and Jared A. Smith of Marion announce the birth of a son, Cole R. Smith, born July 18 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.

He weighed 6 pounds, 9 ounces and was 18 inches long.

Grandparents are Mark C. Brunner of Ramona, Kirt and Kathy Gehrt of Topeka and Jay and Judy Smith of Marion.

Great-grandparents are Lauren and Orvele Brunner of Ramona, Randy and Betty Jo Biswell of Manhattan and Mona Smith of Marion.

Jace VanWart

Nichole Suffield and Ryan VanWart of Hillsboro announce the birth of a son, Jace Michael VanWart, born Aug. 22 at Newton Medical Center.

He weighed 7 pounds, 7 1/2 ounces and was 18 1/2 inches long.

He joins siblings Haley Plenert, 6, and Ethan Plenert, 3.

Maternal grandparents are Tamara Suffield of Hillsboro and the late David Suffield. Maternal great-grandparents are Mike and LaVona Loveless of Marion and Wayne and Toni Trimble of Valley Center.

Paternal grandparents are Larry and Brenda Funk of Hillsboro and Robert and Cyndi VanWart of Tucson, Ariz. Paternal great-grandparents are Carl and Linda Hall of Caldwell, Idaho, and Peggy VanWart of Abilene, Texas.

Noah Hiebert

Nathan and Melinda Hiebert of Hesston announce the birth of a son, Noah John, born Aug. 7 at Via Christi St. Joseph Hospital in Wichita.

He weighed 7 pounds, 3 ounces and was 19 inches long.

Grandparents are Randy and Debbie Jantz of Hesston and John and Bertha Hiebert of Goessel.
