WEDDINGS- Ewert, Dameron exchange vows July 8

Amanda Elizabeth Ewert of Parsons and Justin James Dameron of Erie were married July 8 in a double-ring ceremony officiated by pastor Rick Branson at Claythorne Lodge in Columbus.

Parents of the couple are Gary and Elaine Ewert of Marion, Nicky and Don Hastings of Erie and Jerry and Kim Dameron of Chanute.

Maid of honor was Anna Passley of Alba, Mo., friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Elizabeth Bailey of Tulsa, Okla., and Alicia Ryan of Parsons, both friends of the bride; and Bethany Hastings of Erie, sister of the groom.

Flower girls were the bride’s cousins Bridget and Kate Tyree, Bethanie and Jozie Robison, all of Columbus; Grace Lucian of Wichita; Erin Smith of Larned and Drew Helmer of Marion; and the groom’s cousins Delaney Lambert and Bailey Groves of Dewey, Oka.

Best man was Chris Buntin of Erie, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Zac Ewert of Marion, brother of the bride; Jonathan Newton of Parsons, friend of the groom; and Justin Jones of Tulsa, brother of the groom.

Ringbearer was Daniel Green of Tulsa, Okla., nephew of the groom.

Ushers were Noah and Aaron Groves of Dewey, Okla., and Nicholas Hastings of Parsons, cousins of the groom; and Austin and Ethan Marshall of McCune and Justin Meins of Erie, all cousins of the bride.

Soloist was Trevor Ewert of Neodesha, cousin of the bride. Anita Brookens of Marion recorded the piano and organ music collection. Program attendants were Hannah Smith of Larned and Madi White of Columbus, cousins of the bride.

Guestbook attendant was Wendy Green of Tulsa, sister of the groom. Gift carriers were Malarie Mosler of Columbus and Katie Ewert of Neodesha, cousins of the bride.

Decorations were provided by wedding coordinator Michelle Mosler of Columbus, cousin of the bride.

The bride wore an ivory satin A-line dress with a halter neckline and fitted bodice, and a sweeping floor-length train. She carried a bouquet of white cala lilies, orange alstromeria, tea leaves, beargrass and her great-grandmother Kline’s hankie.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at Claythorne Lodge. Assistants were Patti Greenland, Jane Hastings and Missy McCoskey, all aunts of the groom; and Donna Hajek, Georgia Mosler, Kathy Ewert and Linda Ewert, all aunts of the bride.

The wedding cake was made by Francie Robison, aunt of the bride. A dance and karoke followed the reception.

The groom’s parents hosted the rehearsal dinner July 7 at Claythorne Lodge.

The bride graduated from Marion High School in 2001 and Pittsburg State University in 2005. She is employed as a graphic designer at Signatures Sportswear in Parsons and Parsons Theatre.

The groom is a 2003 graduate of Erie High School. He is employed at Parsons Theatre and attends PSU.

After a honeymoon to Branson, Mo., the couple resides in Parsons.
