SENIOR SCRIBBLES

ORIGINALLY WRITTEN CINDY BAIZE
It is back-to-school time. As the youngsters look forward to books and expanding their education, we will look back to those earlier days Aug. 24.

We will share those memories in pictures, verse, stories and keepsakes. We might have some of the ways things were done before the computer, so come and join us.

This week is fair week, and we hope it will be a blue ribbon one for all who attend. Mary McFadden will be here Monday for foot care. Call to make an appointment now. Her schedule is filling fast.

Other events for the coming week include meeting Grant Overstake. He is the “it’s a Mystery” speaker for the carry-in meal on Aug. 16.

On Thursday, it is Hillsboro vs. Goessel pool tournament from 9 a.m. to noon.

To end the week, there will be new selections from the library to enrich reading time, and at 3 p.m. it’s men’s coffee hour.

Thank you go all the faithful volunteers this week for their hard work and time given to perform the tasks.

Dining room: Carol Winters, Jeri Klose, Bonnie Funk, Irma Groening, Joanne Faurot, RuthAnn Penner, Mariann Unruh and Velda Hiebert.
