ANNIVERSARIES- Classens plan to celebrate 50th

Matthew and Mary Kay (Warren) Classen of Marion will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 20, at Holy Family Activity Center in Marion.

The couple was married Aug. 26, 1956, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Moline. They have lived in Marion since 1963 and are members of Holy Family Catholic Church.

He was president of Marion National Bank for 38 years, and she has been a housewife active locally in church, civic and service activities.

The event is hosted by their children, a son, Mike Classen and wife Angela of Topeka, and a daughter, Sherry Bureman and husband James of Springfield, Mo.

The couple has three grandchildren, Kari Classen, Chase Bureman and Kirsten Bureman.

No gifts please.
