Marjorie Collins
Marjorie E. Collins, 93, nurse aid, died June 30 at Parkside Homes in Hillsboro.
The funeral was Monday, July 3, at Jost Funeral Home in Hillsboro with pastor Wesley Carlton officiating. Burial was at Highland Cemetery of Jamestown.
She was born Dec. 1, 1912, to Charles Pfeifer and Martha V. Darrough in Simpson. On April 26, 1948, she was married to James Collins, who predeceased her in 1970.
Survivors include a son, Wesley D. Carlton of Greensburg; two daughters, Rosemary C. Freeman of Hillsboro and Wanda C. Barnes of Centennial, Colo; 26 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren.
A memorial fund has been established with Parkside Homes.

Edna Jantz
Edna Jantz, 81, homemaker, died June 29 at Bethesda Home in Goessel.
The funeral was Saturday, July 1 at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church near Goessel with pastor Lee Suderman presiding. Internment was in the church cemetery.
She was born April 18, 1925, to Peter H. And Martha Schmidt in Hillsboro. On Sept. 8, 1991, she married Edward Jantz, who survives.
Survivors include Wanda Black and husband Bill, Sedgwick; Barton Nickel and wife Mary, Canton; Nelson Nickel and wife Lola, Canton; Miretta Friesen and husband Jim, Canton; Ruth Crawford and husband Tom, Weatherford, Texas; two brothers, Joseph Goossen and wife Elaine, Hesston; Eldon L.R. Schmidt and wife Deloris, Canton; a sister, Rosella Goering and husband Arthur, Newton; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be sent to Bethesda Home in care of Miller Funeral Home in Goessel.
Robin McGinnis
Robin Kathleen McGinnis, 42, homemaker, died June 25 at Hillsboro Community Medical Center.
The funeral was June 30 at the Zeiner Funeral Home Chapel in Marion with pastor Larry King officiating. Interment followed in the Claney Cemetery of rural Marion.
She was born Sept. 1, 1963, to Ed and Jane (Thomas) Wilson at Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. On Aug. 26, 1997, she was married to Brian McGinnis, who survives in Hillsboro.
Survivors also include two sons, Brook Batson of Wichita and Nickolas Batson of Tulsa, Okla.; parents Ed and Jane Wilson of Canal Winchester, Ohio; a sister Rebecca Mahmood and husband Zee of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; niece Janna Mahmood and granddaughter Brianna Batson.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established with the National Asthma Association. Contributions may be made through Zeiner Funeral Home.
Donald Rittgers
Donald R. Rittgers, 85, upholster, of Emporia and former resident of Marion, died June 27 at the Holiday Resort in Emporia.
The funeral was held Thursday, June 29, at Eastmoor United Methodist Church with pastors Rick Branson and Margaret Gunselman officiating. Interment was in the Marion Cemetery.
He was born June 14, 1921, to Sanford and Etta (Gay) Rittgers on a farm near Roxbury. On Sept. 9, 1951, he was married to Della R. Nickel, who predeceased him in 2002.
Survivors include a son, David Ray Rittgers of Holcomb; a daughter, Debra Rene’ Rittgers of Lebo; a sister, Letha Garrett of Wichita; and two granddaughters, Ashton Danae and Alexa Brianne Thomas.
Memorial funds have been established with the Lebo United Methodist Church and the Holiday Resort.
