Richard and LaVera (Westerman) Vogts of Canton will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at a reception Sunday, May 28, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church at 703 26th Ave. in Canton.
The couple was married May 27, 1956, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Nashville.
Richard is a self-employed farm stockman, and Lavera is an employee of McPherson Copyright.
The event will be hosted their children, Jeff and Connie Vogts of Sublette, Kelly and Laura Vogts of McPherson, Verlin Vogts of Canton and Milton and Julie Vogts of McPherson.
The couple has nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
They request no gifts.
