GHS track boys win at Haven

The Goessel track and field teams competed at Haven on a blustery afternoon April 25.

“It was a cold, windy day, but we did have some good performances,” coach Vanesa Schroeder said.

The boys captured first place in the five-team meet with 110 points while the Bluebird girls scored 39 points for fourth place.

Garrett Hiebert won four gold medals. Indivudally, Hiebert placed first in the javelin (173-feet, 6-inches ), triple jump (39-8) and the 400 meter (56.13 seconds).

Tyler Schroeder who won the shot put (47-31â2) and discus (140-1). Both marks were personal-best distances.
