For kids of all ages, there’s nothing like a circus

Even in this age of high-tech games and gadgets, a circus still thrills the imagination of children. Watching elephant tricks bottom photo) and other acts under the “Big Top” of the American All Star Circus Monday evening in Marion brought gasps of pleasure from the youngsters in the crowd, including (foreground from left) Emily and Riley Hake, children of Russell and Shawna Hake, and Jacob Schlehuber of Hillsboro, who was there with his great-aunt Anita Hancock. The circus, which included horse and dog acts as well as acrobatics, was in Marion for only one night. It was located along Eisenhower Road across from Marion’s football stadium.
