Goessel’s Peters is NAIA All-American

The NAIA has named their 2006 All-American Scholar Athletes for the 2005-2006 season.

Kent Peters, a Bethel College student from Goessel, was named an NAIA All-American Scholar Athlete for the 2005-06 season.

To qualify, a student-athlete must be at least a junior, have a minimum grade-point average of 3.50 and be a member of the varsity basketball program.

Peters, a junior, averaged 5.77 points per game, led the team in 3-point percentage at 36.4 percent and held a 2.14 assist-to-turnover ratio in Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference games.

Peters is pursuing a major in business.
