About 50 volunteers from Canton and the surrounding area participated Friday and Saturday in a two-day project to spruce up Shiloh Manor, the local retirement home. Among the volunteers working Friday morning: Joyce Renken (far left photo) was painting rooms, a crew of about a dozen men were removing old shingles (top right photo) and board president Barbara Vogts (bottom right photo) was scrubbing baseboards. Shiloh residents contributed by rolling and wapping eating utensils for the food breaks workers enjoyed, according to Saundra Miller, admissions coordinator who helped organize the project.
