All-MCAA basketball teams announced for 2005-06

Six Hillsboro Trojans and five Marion Warriors recently received all-league recognition from the basketball coaches of the Mid-Central Activities Association.

For the boys, Trojan senior Kyle Kroeker made the first team while junior Lucas Hamm and senior Wade Weibert received honorable mention.

Kroeker averaged 15 points, 3.0 assists and 3.2 steals for Hillsboro, who finished 16-7. Hamm averaged 11.7 points, 9.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists. Weibert averaged 8.2 and 4.5 rebounds.

Marion Jason Hett made the second team and Travis Hett received honorable mention. Both were juniors this season for the 6-15 Warriors.

For the girls, Hillsboro’s JuliAnne Chisholm was picked for the first team and Hannah Marsh and Tina Frick each received honorable mention. All three are juniors.

Chisholm averaged 12.6 points and 7.8 rebounds for the 12-10 Trojans. Marsh averaged 7.0 points and 2.2 assists and Frick 6.5 points and 3.1 rebounds.

For Marion (6-15), Toni Gordon and Allie Maddox both were named to the second team and Megan Hudson received honorable mention. All three are seniors.
