TC prof to talk about trip to India at 60+

ORIGINALLY WRITTEN
Lynn Jost, associate professor of biblical and religious studies at Tabor College, will present “Curry and Rice with Mennonite Brethren in India” at the 60+ Learning in Retirement Program, Monday, March 27.

Tabor College President Larry Nikkel will also give a campus update on developments impacting Hillsboro and the surrounding communities.

The session will begin at 10 a.m. in the Wohlgemuth Music Education Center Lobby, located on the campus of Tabor College.

During January, Jost led a group of Tabor College students and interested Hillsboro community members on a three-week study tour of India. This was his second intensive trip to India.

During his sabbatical in the spring 2001, Jost spent two months there, while also visiting Japan and Zimbabwe.

During his most recent trip, Jost prepared preachers and lectured on the Book of the Psalms at the College of Bible in Shamshabad, India.

Tabor College students accompanying Jost on this mission helped tutor Indian students while building relation- ships with them.

Older adults are invited to attend the 60+ plus session. Enrollment is $15 per person a semester, $28 per couple or $4 a session.

In an effort to encourage participation, first-time visitors will be admitted free of charge. Registration and discount lunch cards will be available at the door.
