Tabor to host Special Olympics hoops tourney

Teams from three counties will be participating Saturday morning in a Kansas Special Olympics basketball tournament on the campus of Tabor College in Hillsboro.

Games will begin at 8 a.m. and conclude around 1 p.m. and will be played in the Tabor Gymnasium and the Campus Recreation Center.

Divisions will be formed on the basis of needed game

experience before teams compete in the Kansas Special Olympic State Tournament in March.

Admission to the public is free.

This tournament has been hosted for more than 20 years by Tabor College and the Hillsboro Kiwanis Club.
