Andrea Marie Wegerer and Drew Edwin Salsbury exchanged wedding vows Aug. 13 at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Pilsen, with Father Stephen Gronert of Wichita officiating the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Louis and Judith Wegerer and the granddaughter of Pauline Wegerer, all of Marion.
The groom is the son of David and Denise Salsbury of Muncie, Ind., and the grandson of Donald and Geri Muncy of Eudora.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a satin wedding gown by Ginza. The dress was princess cut with a V front and halter neck. The bodice was accented with pearls, bugle beads and embroidery. A sheer pattern on the skirt and the chapel-length train were enhanced with embroidery and pearls. A fingertip-length net veil with pencil-edge trim accented the gown.
She carried a hand-tied bouquet of sterling silver, Maaike and yellow roses, purple astroemeria, lavender stock, white lisanthus and seeded eucalyptus.
Maid of honor was Allison Wegerer, sister of the bride. Best man was Donald Salsbury, brother of the groom.
Bridesmaids were Cary Weimer, Marla Lohmann and Carmelita Goossen. Groomsmen were Josh Fike, Brad Carpenter and Matt Pool.
Guest book attendants were Brandy Bruna and Jenny Lundgren, friends of the bride.
Matt Wegerer and Steve Wegerer, cousins of the bride, ushered the bride’s guests. Drake Muncy and Dustyn Muncy, cousins of the groom, ushered the groom’s guests. Gift bearers were parents of the couple. Steffanie Smith and Mandy Kern, friends of the bride, were gift attendants.
Jessie Salsbury, sister-in-law of the groom, served as the lector for the ceremony. Tyler Klenda and Cole Svoboda were servers.
Vocalist was Mary Griffith and Molly Meyers was the organist.
A reception followed at the Marion City Building. A dance followed the buffet dinner and cake. Matt Pool was the disc jockey.
Susan Cooper, aunt of the bride, Christina Cooper, cousin of the bride, and Grace Berry and Amanda Jantz, friends of the couple, were cake servers.
The bride is a graduate of Marion High School and Kansas State University. She is employed as a horticultural therapist in the St. Luke’s Health System in Kansas City, Mo.
The groom is a graduate of Free State High School of Lawrence and KSU. He is employed at Alex R. Masson’s Greenhouse in Linwood.
Following a honeymoon to Florida, the couple has made their home in Kansas City, Mo.
