Roger Shumaker, 70

Roger Foss Shumaker, 70, formerly of Hillsboro, died Feb. 4 at Presbyterian Hospital of Denton, Texas.

The service is at 11:30 a.m. today, Feb. 8, at Hillcrest Cemetery in Houghton, La.

He was born Aug. 4, 1935, to Francis and Helen Parker Shumaker in Bangor, Maine.

He is survived by his wife, Lorraine Shumaker of Denton; a daughter, Karen Stepherson of Arlington, Texas; two sons, Duane Shumaker of Bossier City, La., and Gary Shumaker of Richardson, Texas; a sister, Barbara Miller; three brothers, Don Shumaker of Bangor, Louis Shumaker of East Halden, Maine, and Paul Shumaker of Orrington, Maine; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Benjamin McLean, 5

Benjamin Joseph McLean, 5, died Jan. 31 at Via Christi Regional Medical Center, St. Francis campus, in Wichita.

The service was held Feb. 4 at Grace Lutheran Church with pastor Dale Dumperth presiding. Burial was at Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery in Canton.

He was born April 17, 2000, to Charles “Andy” and Sheila Ann Nutter McLean in Overland Park.

He is survived by his parents of McPherson; a brother, Jakob Dylan McLean of McPherson; maternal grandparents, Vernon and Luella Nutter of McPherson; paternal grandparents, Barbara McLean of Clarksville, Tenn., and Charles McLean of Wichita; and greatgrandparents, Lois Nutter of McPherson and James and Ruth McLean of Republic, Mo.

A memorial has been established with the family of Benjamin McLean.
