Armstrong hired as new St. Luke CEO

Jeremy Armstrong of South Dakota has accepted the position as the new chief executive officer for St. Luke Hospital and Living Center, said interim CEO Emmert Schuster at the St. Luke Hospital Auxiliary Executive Board meeting Jan. 31.

Schuster said Armstrong will move to Marion with his family and will begin his position within the next 30 to 45 days.

Linda Kannady, St. Luke chief nursing officer, reported that she has hired graduate nurse Rebecca Kimbrel as temporary help.

Auxiliary president Judy Reno welcomed Joyce Richmond as the new gift-case chairman.

Mary Alice Jolley reported that $18 was derived from the gift case for the month of January. Outside volunteer hours for the gift case were 142.

Reno reported that volunteer hours for the Shoppe were 519.

District meeting of hospital auxiliaries will be held May 1 at Marion County Lake Hall in Marion. Panhandlers Catering Service has been secured for the meal.aThe next St. Luke auxiliary board meeting will be held Feb. 28.
