EDITORIAL- A prudent partnership-The collaboration of USD 410 and Tabor College on a proposed athlet

ORIGINALLY WRITTEN DON RATZLAFF
The announcement at Monday’s USD 410 Board of Education meeting that the school district was exploring a partnership with Tabor College regarding a significant upgrade of athletic facilities at Reimer Field was good news-and a good idea. It truly is a senseless waste of resources for both schools to develop separate football and track facilities when they can work together for mutual benefit.

Granted, a lot of issues need to be resolved, but public schools and private colleges in both McPherson and Lindsborg have proven this kind of a partnership can work. Most of all, we know the local task force members to be creative, conscientious and considerate people who will find their way to a healthy and successful agreement.

This is a win-win for both institutions-and all of us who support them. -DR
