Kory Hiebert, a junior hitter from Goessel, was named Class 1A first-team all-state last week by the Kansas Volleyball Association.

Hiebert had 335 kills, averaging four kills per game with a hitting percentage of 33 percent.

Hiebert recorded 177 digs and led the Bluebirds with 191 blocks, including 102 solo blocks.

“Kory is extremely well-rounded and excels in sports, music and academics and is highly involved with her church,” Goessel head coach Crysta Guhr said. “She is definitely the type of athlete and person any coach would love to have. I’m elated for her.”
