Chisholm, Hiebert named to all-state volleyball teams

Two area high school volleyball players were named to all-state teams last week by the Kansas Volleyball Association.

Earning first-team honors in Class 3A was Hillsboro’s JuliAnne Chisholm.

Chisholm, a 5-foot, 10-inch outside hitter, led the Trojans with 199 kills in 524 attempts for a kill percentage of nearly 25 percent. She added 11 solo blocks and 21 assisted blocks, 151 digs and served with a 92 percent success rate.

Receiving first-team honors in Class 1A was Kory Hiebert of Goessel. Hiebert is a 6-1 middle blocker.
