Weber takes first in peace-poster contest

Hillsboro Middle School sixth-grader Courtney Weber accepts a certificate from Elfrieda Funk, Lions Club secretary, for taking first in her class in the Lions Club International Peace Poster Contest. Weber was also given a $25 check. Second place was awarded to Brenna Dirks and third to Amy Bartel. Judged by the high-school art class, the poster contest’s theme was “Peace Without Borders.”
