First concrete poured for new aquatic center

Workers from Carruthers Construction Co. wait Thursday morning for a bucket of concrete to be emptied into the forms for the outside walls of the dive pool section of Hillsboro’s family aquatic center. This was the first of a series of major pours at the project site. Even though it was chilly when they started, moderating air temperatures made it a good day for concrete work compared to earlier in the week.
