Weber, Bell wed Aug. 13 in Ogallala

Carolyn Dian Weber and Michael Wayne Bell were married Aug. 13 at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Ogallala, Neb.

The bride is the daughter of Donna and Delmer Fink of Florence and the late Bernard Weber. She is the granddaughter of Gertrude Weber of Elmdale, the late Raymond Weber and the late Tom and Alberta Herzet.

The groom is the son of Joan Bell of Sidney, Neb., and the late Donald Bell. He is the grandson of Ann Borm of Chappell, Neb., and the late August Borm.

The celebrant of the wedding mass was Father Bryan Ernest.

Escorted down the aisle by her father, the bride wore a white Alfred Angelo strapless A-line trumpet dress with a pearl-and-sequin-beaded lace overlay. The gown featured a buttoned back and chapel-length lace-and-sequin train. A beaded-edge, two-tier tulle veil was held in place by a silver rhinestone tiara. The bride carried a live bouquet of yellow roses and white stephanotis accented with blue ribbons.

Maid of honor was Julie Shaw, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids Emily (Belton) French and Megan Nowak wore floor-length empire-waist gowns of sky blue and carried silk bouquets of yellow, blue and white roses accented with blue ribbons. Flower girl Taylor Pontious, niece of the bride, wore a floor-length sky blue gown and carried a basket of yellow and white rose petals.

Best man was Bowe Reimers, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Scott Nowak and Brian Canfield, friends of the groom. Ring bearer was Adam Shaw, nephew of the bride.

Guests were seated by Larry and Alan Niemann, brothers of the groom, John Nowak, friend of the groom, and Shaun Bullock, friend of the bride. The bride’s personal attendant was Tiffany Bullock.

The flower arrangements and guest book were made and attended by Sheila Williams, sister of the bride. Gift attendants were Alycia Pontious, niece of the bride, and Allison and Rachel Niemann, nieces of the groom.

Karen Niemann, sister-in-law of the groom, gave the readings. Gift bearers were Bob and Marlene Herzet, uncle and aunt of the bride.

Bob Herzet also served as Eucharistic minister of the mass.

Lexi Bauer, friend of the bride, was the soloist and Karla Lawler was organist.

Following the ceremony, a reception, dinner and dance was held at Haythorn Land & Cattle Co. and Figure Four Traditions north of Lake McConaughy.

Hosts of the reception were Wayne and Jane Weber, uncle and aunt of the bride, and Susan and Bob Elsen, sister and brother-in-law of the groom. Melissa Parmley and Angie Herzet, cousins of the bride, and Kylie Meyer, cousin of the groom, served cake and punch.

The bride is a 1998 graduate of Marion High School and a 2001 graduate of Flint Hills Technical College in Emporia with an associate of applied science degree in computer technologies. She is employed by Prophet Systems Innovations in Ogallala.

The groom is a 1997 graduate of Sidney High School. He serves as a captain of the Ogallala volunteer fire department and is employed by Nelson Construction and Custom Homes.

Following a honeymoon trip to Waikiki Beach, Honolulu, Hawaii, the couple resides in Ogallala.
