Trojans’ Boese feted with all-league honors

Officials of the Mid-Central Activities Association inadvertently omitted the name of a Hillsboro Trojan who received all-league recognition for his play during the past football season.

Josh Boese received honorable mention at quarterback among the teams of the Central Division. The 6-foot-2, 172-pound senior threw for 973 yards for the Trojans (4-5), completing 74 of 169 atttempts (44 percent) for five touchdowns. He threw 13 interceptions.

Boese joins eight teammates who also were recognized: Wade Weibert, David Funk, Troy Frick, Darren Enns, Tim Funk, Adam Scheele, Lucas Hamm and Matt Brown.
