Evelyn Ade, 94

Evelyn B. Ade, 94, former school teacher and homemaker, died Oct. 23 at Lindsborg Community Hospital.
The service is at 10 a.m. today, Oct. 26, at Temple Church in Gypsum with pastor Dennis Mullins officiating. Burial will be at Temple Church Cemetery.
She was born Nov. 11, 1910, to Oscar Emanuel Nilson and Lazetta Zeitlow in Assaria. On Nov. 11, 1931, she was married to Theodore Ade, who predeceased her in 1997.
She is survived by a son, Dale Ade of Lindsborg; two daughters, Juanita Anderson of Roxbury and Darlene Bergen of Inman; a sister, Frances Pearson of Great Bend; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
Memorials have been established with Temple Church and Bethany Home in Lindsborg.

Darren Glanzer, infant

Darren Lee Glanzer, newborn, died Oct. 18 at Newton Medical Center.
The service was Oct. 21 at Ebenfeld Mennonite Brethren Church in rural Hillsboro with pastor Gaylord Goertzen officiating. Burial is in South Dakota.
He was born Oct. 18 to Chris and Kathryn Paulus Glanzer of Hillsboro.
He is survived by his parents; his grandparents, Steve and Susan Hopkins of Parker, S.D., Nancy Hessler of Corona, Calif., and James Paulus Sr. of Lander, Wyo.; a brother, Paul Glanzer, and a sister, Anna Glanzer, both of Hillsboro.

Marcella Picraux, 69

Marcella (Balzer) Picraux, 69, retired childcare employee, died Oct. 17 at Newton Medical Center.
The service was Oct. 20 at Halstead Health and Rehabilitation Center with Dave Deutschendorf officiating. Burial was at Gnadenau Cemetery in Hillsboro.
She was born Feb. 27, 1936, to Jacob P. and Olga R. (Winter) Balzer Suderman in McClusky, N.D. She attended Tabor College in Hillsboro.
She is survived by a brother, Orman Balzer of Mesa, Ariz.; four sisters, Mavis and husband Wes Vix of Minot, N.D., Rhoda and husband George Guerin of Denver, Colo., Arva and husband Dave Deutschendorf of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Rita Smith of Wichita; a friend and stepdaughter, Tammie and Marty Tearpak of Longmont, Colo.; and four step-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with Halstead Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Larry Robertson, 70

Larry G. Robertson, 70, retired employee of Marion Tool and Die, died Oct. 17 at Newton Medical Center.
The service was Oct. 20 at the Marion Christian Church with Carl Helm officiating. Burial was at Cedar Point Cemetery.
He was born Nov. 4, 1934, to Wesley and Ruth Lucille Richmond Robertson in Hillsboro. In 1957 he was married to Carol Schinnerer, who survives.
He is also survived by a son, Randy of North Newton; a daughter, Tami Weber of Austin, Texas; a brother, Dennis of Frisco, Texas; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
A memorial has been established with Marion Christian Church.

Martha Scharping, 93

Martha M. Scharping, 93, retired cook, died Oct. 19 in Hillsboro.
A memorial service was Oct. 22 at First Mennonite Church in Hillsboro with pastor Randy Smith officiating.
She was born May 13, 1912, to C.J. Hiebert and Minnie Unruh Hiebert in Beaver County, Okla. In 1938 she was married to Herbert M. Scharping, who predeceased her in 1977.
She is survived by a daughter, Kay Frances of Cottage Grove, Ore.; a daughter-in-law, Ruby Scharping of Wichita; two grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with First Mennonite Church.
