Dalke named Kansas Realtor of the Year

Delores Dalke, broker/owner for the Real Estate Center in Hillsboro, was presented with the prestigious Kansas Realtor of the Year award at the KAR state convention Oct. 10 to 12 in Overland Park.

Dalke was nominated for the award by the Topeka Area Association of Realtors.

“Delores always goes the extra mile in working with clients, KAR or her local volunteer organizations,” said Dana Carter, president of the Topeka Association.

“She should be recognized for her promotion of housing opportunities in Kansas.”

Dalke has been active on local, state and national levels of the realtor association.

She was one of the founding members of the Marion County Board of Realtors, assisted with enlarging the board to become the Flint Hills Board of Realtors and then served as president of the board.

Dalke was also KAR president in 2003. She has been a member of the KAR Board of directors for more than a decade and a member of the KAR Honor Society since its inception.

Nationally, Dalke has served on the political communications committee, housing needs committee, state and local fiscal affairs committee and convention finance and lending committee of the National Association of Realtors.

Dalke is the mayor of Hillsboro and has served on the Hillsboro Recreation Commission, Hillsboro Planning and Zoning Commission and Hillsboro Housing Authority.

Dalke is a past president of the Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce and was chair of the taxation and finance committee for the Kansas League of Municipalities.

KAR is a statewide trade association that provide professional education, research and information exchange among its 10,100 members and to consumers, government and the media.
