On Tuesday, Tabor battled to a 1-1 tie with Saint Mary at Leavenworth.

The Spires jumped on top 1-0 with seven minutes remaining in the first half and held that lead through halftime.

Silas Hibbs’s scored goal the tying goal on a corner kick from Chris Adrian.

“This was by far the hardest we played all year,” head coach Herb Wiebe said. “We generated some scoring chances, but just couldn’t put them away.”

Wiebe cited Adrian, Hibbs and keeper Ian Thomson for exemplary play.

“Ian had his best game of the year in goal for us and played especially well in the second half,” Wiebe said.

Tabor’s record stands at 1-9-1 overall and 1-3-1 in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference.
