Tabor College men’s basketball signs Newton product

ORIGINALLY WRITTEN
Kyle R. Pohl, a Newton High School graduate, has signed a letter of intent to play basketball at Tabor College this winter, according to men’s coach Don Brubacher.

“Kyle has many qualities in his game that are very important to us,” said Brubacher. “Among these qualities are a great work ethic, sound fundamentals, good skills and a strong team spirit.”

The 5-9 guard lettered three years for the Railers and became a starter his senior year. His team placed third in the Dodge City Tournament of Champions.

Pohl, a member of the National Honor Roll, is expected to be a contributor at Tabor.

“He is a good fit for Tabor and our basketball program,” Brubacher said. “We are very pleased to have him join us.”
