ORIGINALLY WRITTEN
Jessica Appelhanz, Topeka, has signed a letter of intent to play softball at Tabor College, according to coach Tina King.

Appelhanz, who played first-base at Topeka High School, will play the same position for the Bluejays.

This past year, her high school team qualified for state for the first time in the school’s history.

“Jessica is a very talented player,” said King. “She is a well-groomed softball player and is capable of playing several positions.”

Appelhanz is also listed on the honor roll.
