to marry July 2

Ray and Jodi Sunderland of Goddard are pleased to announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Michelle Ann Sunderland, to Chad M. Duerksen, son of Gary and Janet Duerksen of Lehigh.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Goddard High School and Friends University. She is a first-grade teacher for the Goddard School District. She is the granddaughter of Evelyn and Hoyt Sunderland, Carmen Gilmore and the late Marvin Hawkes.

Her fiance is a graduate of Hillsboro High School and Tabor College. He is employed at Fidelity Bank in Wichita in consumer lending. He is the grandson of Wes and Erma Pankratz of Hillsboro and the late Menno and Lydia Duerksen of Lehigh.

The wedding and reception will take place July 2 at Tyler Road Southern Baptist Church in Wichita. The couple will honeymoon in Hawaii and reside in Goddard.

August wedding set for Weber, Bell

Carolyn Dian Weber and Michael Wayne Bell, both of Ogallala, Neb., announce their engagement and approaching marriage.

Parents of the bride are Donna and Delmer Fink of Florence and the late Bernard Weber. Parents of the groom are Joan Bell of Sidney, Neb., and the late Donald Bell.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Marion High School and has an associate’s degree in computer networking from Flint Hills Technical College in Emporia. She is employed as a senior support engineer at Prophet Systems Innovations in Ogallala.

Her fiance is a graduate of Sidney High School in Nebraska. He is the captain of the Ogallala Volunteer Fire Department and works with Nelson Construction and Custom Homes in Ogallala.

The couple plans to marry Aug. 13 at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Ogallala.
