Christiansens mark 65th with reception
H. Irvin and Muriel West Christiansen will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. May 29 at Durham Community Center.
The couple were married May 25, 1940, at First Baptist Church in Durham.
They have lived in the Durham community farming, ranching and holding livestock auctions all of their married life.
Their children are Robert Christiansen of Kelly, Texas, Don and Mona Herbers of Leoti, Gordon and Pat Christiansen of Durham, Dale and Renee Christiansen of McPherson and Jan Skiles of Hillsboro. They have 13 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, five step-children and three step-grandchildren.
Family, friends and neighbors are invited to attend the reception. The couple request no gifts.
