The Tabor College golf teams wrapped up their seasons last week at the NAIA Region 4 Spring Regional Championships.

Playing at Indian Creek Golf Course in Elkhorn, Neb., the Bluejays had several golfers finishing among the top 10.

Tabor’s Diane Soldan was third overall in the women’s division, shooting an 88 on the first day and 84 on the second day for a total of 172.

Soldan narrowly missed qualifying for the national tournament.

“They only took four individuals and the rest of the women were from teams,” Tabor coach Dan Harrison said.

“She did a great job, though.”

The Tabor men competed as a team and finished sixth place with an opening-day total of 325 and a second-day total of 321 to finish at 646, 26 shots behind regional champion and Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference foe, Bethany College.

Individually, Brian Wadsworth finished in a three-way tie for fourth with a 76 and 80 for a 156 total-just five shots out of first place on the par-71 course.

Mike Jamieson wasn’t far behind with a 159 (81, 78) to finish in a tie for ninth.

Also competing for Tabor were Nick Anneler (84,76; 160), Adam Frank (84, 87; 171) and Will Engler (95, 95; 186).
