Steiners to celebrate 50th anniversary

Gene and Beryl (Stretch) Steiner will celebrate 50 years of wedded life with an open house from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 30, at the American Legion Post 355 on Floral Drive in Hillsboro.

The couple were married on April 20, 1955, at the St. Edwards Church in Shaftesbury, England.

He is a retired farmer from Durham, presently employed at Dale’s Supermarket in Hillsboro. She retired from dietary manager assistant at Hillsboro Community Medical Center.

The event is hosted by their children, Roy Steiner of Newark, N.J.; Perry and Barb Steiner and family of Marion; Paula and Stephen Kieffer and family of Clifton; and Rex Steiner of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

The public is invited to the celebration.

Boeses to celebrate 50th anniversary

Irvin and Edmah (Pankratz) Boese will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 1, at Goessel Civic Center, 101 S. Cedar.

The couple were married May 10, 1955.

Irvin is a retired truck driver, and Edmah is a homemaker.

Their children, Luke and Janell Hawk of Goessel and Nancy and Leroy Schmidt of Hillsboro, are hosting the event, which is open to the public.
