Hanson, Strickland to marry in Colorado

Jennifer Hanson and Mike Strickland, both of Emporia, announce their engagement and approaching marriage.

Parents of the couple are Margaret Pippin of Marion, Vic Hanson of Salina and Carl and Cathy Strickland of Oswego.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Marion High School and Emporia State University, where she is completing a master’s degree in music education. She is a vocal music instructor at Timmerman Elementary School in Emporia.

Her fiance is a graduate of Oswego High School and Emporia State University. He is a science instructor at Emporia High School, where he is also the head baseball coach and an assistant football coach.

The couple plan to be married July 22 in Colorado and will celebrate their marriage with a reception and dance on July 30 at the Emporia Country Club.

Blake, Vinduska

to wed in Marion

Clinton and Mary Winger of Augusta and Rose Vinduska and Ken Vinduska, both of Marion, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their children, Jana Kay Blake and Christopher Vinduska, both of Wichita.

The bride-to-be has a master’s degree in social work from Newman University and is employed by Social and Rehabilitation Services in Wichita.

Her fiance has a juris doctorate from Washburn University and is employed by the law firm of Klenda, Mitchell, Austerman and Zuercher, LLC.

The wedding will be May 28 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Marion.
