Jantz, Klein exchange vows

Becky Jantz and Michael Klein, both of Hillsboro, were married July 10 at First mennonite Church of Hillsboro with pastor Stan Bohn of the church and Eric Schrag, friend of the couple, officiating the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Bob and Judy Jantz of Hillsboro. The groom is the son of Bob and LaDonna Klein of Durham.

Maid of honor was Erin Bartel of Hillsboro. Best man was Lance Klein of Manhattan.

Bridesmaids were Amy Richards and Amber Jost, both of Hillsboro; Erica Stevens of Harper; and Kara Bartell of Hesston. Flower girl was Addie Berens of Tampa.

Groomsmen were Ryan Bartel of Overland Park, Oral Saulters of Abilene and Matt Esau of Hillsboro. Ring bearer was Seth Bielefeld of Peabody.

Ushers were Kevin Jantz of Portland, Ore.; Ross Bielefeld of Lawrence; and Brad Richards of Hillsboro.

Musicians were guitarist and vocalist Ryan O’Reiley of Newton, friend of the couple, and a string quartet with members from Newton and Hutchinson.

The bride wore a white-satin halter A-line dress with a satin flower attached at the waist and a sweep train. She wore a veil and tiara made of pearls, crystals and flowers; and a necklace bracelet and earrings custom made by the groom’s sister.

She carried a bouquet of star of Bethlehem, daisies, thistle, Queen Anne’s lace and delphinium.

A reception was held in the fellowship hall following the ceremony. Reception hosts were Jim and Mary Regier of Hillsboro.

Reception assistants were Sue Jantz of Portland, Rhoda Rafaelsen of McPherson, Susan Jantz of Abilene and Carol Hanschu of Lost Springs.

The bride graduated from Hillsboro High School in 2001 and is a nursing student at Bethel College planning to graduate in May.

The groom graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1999 and is employed at Via Christi Research Inc.

The rehearsal dinner was held July 9 at the Hillsboro Scout House and catered by Panhandler’s Catering Company.

Following a honeymoon to Cozumel, Mexico, the couple resides in Hillsboro.
