Peabody-Burns boys suffer first loss, 67-59, in overtime

Canton-Galva trailed by only three points, 24-21, at halftime but was outscored 26-13 in the second half of Tuesday’s game. Seth Moddelmog led Canton-Galva with 15 points.

Inman 51, Goessel 46

After a high-scoring first quarter that resulted in a 23-18 Inman lead, defense dominated the final three quarters of Tuesday’s game. Tyler Schroeder led Goessel with 14 points while Jordan Voth added 11.

Berean 67, Peabody-Burns 59 (OT)

Peabody-Burns suffered its first defeat of the season Tuesday at Peabody.

The Warriors lost the game at the free-throw line, where Berean made 30 of 45 attempts compared to eight of 18 for the home team.

Berean led 28-23 at halftime and 46-39 after three quarters before Peabody-Burns tied the game at 56 at the end of regulation.

Isaac Good and Nathan Hittle led the Warriors with 13 points each. Derrick Simmonds added 11 for the Warriors (5-1).
