Kroeker, Jost celebrate marriage

Angela Dawn Kroeker and Andrew D. Jost were married Aug. 21 at Parkview Mennonite Church of Hillsboro with pastor Tim Sullivan officiating the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Kim and David Kroeker of Hillsboro. The groom is the son of Tam and Cal Jost of Hillsboro.

Grandparents are Harold and Doris Kroeker of Henderson, Neb.; Donald and Jackie Mickels of Madrid, Neb.; Adina Jost of Hillsboro; and Walden and Susan Duerksen of Goessel.

Great-grandmothers are Anna Dick of Henderson and Susan Schmidt of Goessel.

Maid of honor was Shannon Kroeker, sister of the bride. Best men were Matthew Jost and Jared Jost, both brothers of the groom.

Bridesmaids were Dionne Loewen and Jacey Boese, both friends of the bride. Flower girl was Keeley Kroeker, cousin of the bride. Bride’s personal attendant was Tammy Thiessen, friend of the bride.

Groomsman was Jeremy Loewen, friend of the groom. Ringbearer was Cody Kroeker, cousin of the bride.

Ushers were Kyle Funk, cousin of the groom; Jason Phelps, friend of the groom; Grant Brubacher, friend of the groom, Caleb Schroeder, cousin of the bride; and Lyndl Duerksen, cousin of the groom.

Gift carriers were Makenna Kroeker, Ashton Kroeker, Megan Kroeker, Eric Brown and Emily Brown, all cousins of the bride.

Candlelighters were Kyle Kroeker, brother of the bride, and Cassie Kroeker, sister of the bride.

Guestbook attendants were Carly Kroeker, cousin of the bride, and Carmen Hein, friend of the bride.

Program attendants were Christianne Kroeker and Heidi Schroeder, both cousins of the bride.

Scripture reader was Carrie Schroeder, cousin of the bride.

Musicians were Marilyn Kroeker, aunt of the bride; Krista Winter, friend of the bride; Julia Jost, sister-in-law of the groom; and Jay Kroeker, John Kroeker and Paul Kroeker, uncles of the bride.

Flower attendants were Penni Schroeder and Leslie Brown, both aunts of the bride.

Wedding coordinator was CleoBeth Friesen, and reception coordinator was Janice Claassen, both friends of the couple.

Candid photographer was Megan Ozias, friend of the bride. Amy Richards was in charge of the video, and Randy Claassen was responsible for the audio taping.

The bride wore a white and rose Mori Lee gown. Delicately beaded embroidery trimmed the neckline and flowed down onto the A-line gown, with a symmetrical front-draped overskirt. Matching embroidery cascaded down the back waist of the gown and decorated the chapel-length train. A delicately beaded halter strap was also added to the gown.

The bride wore a diamond and pearl-encrusted tiara and a pure-white two-tiered shoulder-length veil adorned with satin ribbon.

The bridal bouquet featured pink cymbidium orchids and white hydrangeas and was enhanced with a hand-tied silver ribbon.

The reception was held at the church following the ceremony and was hosted by David and Sue Baker, brother-in-law and sister of the groom.

Reception assistants were Michelle Kroeker and Cara Kroeker, both aunts of the bride; Kim Funk, Sandra Duerksen and LeNora Duerksen, all aunts of the groom; and Darla Funk and Megan Duerksen, both cousins of the groom.

The bride graduated from Hillsboro High School in 2000 and earned a degree in business administration, with a concentration in accounting, from Tabor College in Hillsboro in 2004. She is employed as officer manager with the Hillsboro Free Press.

The groom graduated from Hillsboro High School in 2001 and will earn a degree in Biblical religious studies and communications, with a concentration in journalism, from Tabor College in 2005. He farms and is employed as a graphic designer with Baker Bros. Printing Co. in Hillsboro.

The rehearsal dinner was held on Aug. 20 at the Hillsboro Scout House and hosted by the groom’s parents.

Following a honeymoon cruise to Alaska, the couple resides in Hillsboro.
