Seidl, Friesen celebrate marriage

Morissa Seidl and Scott Friesen were married Aug. 6 at First Mennonite Brethren Church in Wichita with pastor John Warkentin officiating the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Bill and Judy Seidl of Canton. The groom is the son of Larry and Judy Friesen of Wichita.
Grandparents are Charles and Berneice Seidl of Sterling, Nubs and Shirley Nelson of El Dorado and Cal and Betty Friesen of Wichita.
Matron of honor was Lisa Frantz of Newton, friend of the bride. Best men were Brandon Walter and Craig Penner, both of Wichita and friends of the groom.
Bridesmaids were Jennifer Fairchild of Chicago, friend of the bride; Whitney Hamilton of McPherson, friend of the bride; Jennifer Epp of Hillsboro, friend of the bride; and Arianne Seidl of Moberly, Mo., sister-in-law of the bride.
Flower girls were Alaenna Bieganski of Kissimee, Fla., cousin of the bride; Josephine Friesen of Colby, niece of the groom; and Emma Seidl of Moberly, niece of the bride.
Groomsmen were Jeff Friesen of Colby, brother of the groom; and Matt Seidl of Topeka and Nate Seidl of Moberly, both brothers of the bride.
Ring bearer was Sam Morgan of White City, cousin of the groom.
Following a honeymoon in Ambergris Caye, Belize, the couple resides in Lawrence.

Dirks, Petersen wed in Hillsboro

Allison Dirks of Lincoln, Neb., and Robbie Petersen of Exeter, Neb., were married June 26 at Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church in Hillsboro with pastor Tim Sullivan officiating the ceremony and Paul Krasser, uncle of the groom, assisting.
The bride is the daughter of Dwight and Carol Dirks of Durham. The groom is the son of Glen and Deb Petersen of Exeter.
Grandparents are Estaline Quiring of Henderson, Neb., and Virginia Krasser of Cordova, Neb.
Maid of honor was Andrea Luna of Boston, friend of the bride. Best man was Brad Johnson of Manhattan, friend of the groom.
Bridesmaids were Angie Petersen-Stemley of Lincoln, Neb., sister of the groom; Rachel Regier of Newton, friend of the bride; and Lindsey Helm of Fayetteville, Ark., friend of the bride.
The bride’s personal attendant was Andrea Tatti of Vacaville, Calif.
Groomsmen were Jeremy Gewecke of Alma, Neb., Brian Monke of Fremont, Neb., and Jeff Gloystein of Omaha, Neb., all friends of the groom.
Ushers were Brad Robertson of Lincoln, friend of the groom; and Caleb Dirks, Adam Dirks and Nolan Dirks, all of Durham and brothers of the bride.
Musicians were pianist Rachel Busch and guitarist Elizabeth Busch, both of Littleton, Colo., and vocalists Brittany Saltus of Lincoln and Kelli Just of Hillsboro.
Gift carriers were James and Luke Tatti of Vacaville, Calif., and Casey Erdkamp of York, Neb.
Guestbook attendants were Shandra Krasser and Coleen Krasser, both of Lincoln.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a white A-line wedding gown featuring spaghetti straps, an embroidered bodice and a chiffon-overlay skirt. She carried a bouquet of fuchsia gerbera daisies, purple asters and mini calla lilies.
The reception was held in the church activity center following the ceremony. Reception hosts were Paul and Patty Krasser of Crete, Neb.
The bride graduated from Hillsboro High School in 2000 and plans to earn a degree in psychology from the University of Nebraska in 2005.
The groom graduated from Exeter High School in 1999 and the University of Nebraska in 2003. He and his father farm together near Exeter.
Following a honeymoon in Colorado, the couple resides in Lincoln.
