Amber Noel Moore and Thomas John Svoboda were married April 24, at an outdoor wedding at the home of the bride’s parents, with associate pastor Rick Branson, of Eastmoor United Methodist Church in Marion, officiating the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Patrick E. and Jandee K. Moore of Marion and the late Sue E. Moore. The groom is the son of Mary Svoboda of Dighton and John Svoboda of Lincolnville.

Maid of honor was Ashlee Moore of Marion, sister of the bride. Best man was Buddy Adams of Junction City, friend of the groom.

Bridesmaids were Rae Ann Starkey of El Dorado, sister of the bride and Carolyn Weber of Ogallala, Neb., friend of the bride. Junior bridesmaid was Mikayla Starkey of El Dorado, niece of the bride.

Flower girl was Skylar Thornbro of Marion, friend of the bride.

Groomsmen were Alan Svoboda of Ramona, cousin of the groom, and Bill Bennett of Nebraska, friend of the groom. Junior groomsman was Ethan Thornbro of Marion, friend of the bride.

Ring bearers were Gavin and Gage Starkey, both of El Dorado and nephews of the bride.

Ushers were Charlie Svoboda of Lincolnville, cousin of the groom, and Craig Collins of Dighton, friend of the groom.

Candlelighters were Carrie Thornbrow and Stephanie Kraus, both of Marion and friends of the bride.

Musicians were guitarist and vocalist Janet Post, violinist Mark Wilcox and mandolinist Jim Versch.

Guestbook attendants were Holly Eddy of Emporia, friend of the bride, and Kimberly Wilson of Manhattan, niece of the groom.

Gift attendants were Cole Svoboda of Ramona, nephew of the groom; Gabe Moore and Jason Hett, both of Marion and cousins of the bride; and Hannah Smith of Ozawkie, cousin of the bride.

Gift carriers were Cole Svoboda, nephew of the groom; and Gabe Moore, Jason Hett and Hannah Smith, all cousins of the bride.

Parking attendants were Jared Hett and Gavin Moore, both of Marion and cousins of the bride.

The bride wore a Maggie Sottero gown in the color ivory and ice. The one-piece strapless lace-up gown was accented with a draped-satin overlay and featured a corseted back. The gown’s overlay was highlighted with lightly beaded tulle panels at the side of the bodice and at the center back of the sweep train.

The neckline of the gown was emphasized with a delicate floral-beaded design consisting of Swarovski crystals, pearls, sequins and ice-blue beading.

The bride carried a bouquet of calla lilies with greenery wrapped in plum ribbon.

The reception immediately followed the ceremony and was held at the home of the bride’s parents.

Reception hosts were Tobe and Red Moore and Eric and Cindy Moore, all of Marion and aunts and uncles of the bride; and Annette and Eugene Wilson of Dighton, sister and brother-in-law of the groom.

Reception assistants were Diane Sams, Joella Hett and Breanne Killough, all of Marion; Sandra Svoboda of Ramona; Rae Jean Commerford of Americus; and Ann

The bride graduated from Marion High School and Kansas State University. She assists her husband with his business.

The groom graduated from Dighton High School and Kansas State University. He operates a large-animal mobile veterinarian practice.

The rehearsal dinner was April 23 and Kingfisher’s Inn at Marion County Lake and Park.

The couple resides in Herington.
