Funks celebrate 50th with open house
Eldon and Esther Funk of Hillsboro will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 26, at Trinity Mennonite Church, 211 S. Elm St., Hillsboro.
The couple were married Sept. 21, 1954, at Johannestal Mennonite Church north of Hillsboro with pastor Delton Franz officiating.
The Funks are semi-retired and have lived most of their lives in the Hillsboro area.
The open house is hosted by their children and their families, Gerald and Carolyn Funk of Salina, Donovan and Pati Funk of Hillsboro, Janice and Delton Voth of Goessel and Bryan and Darlene Funk of Beatrice, Neb. The couple has 10 grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to the open house and request the honor of friendship and attendance as the only gift.
