Warner, Reiss exchange vows

Sarah Joanne Warner of Johnson and Joel Andrew Reiss of Newton were married May 28 at Westside Baptist Church in Hutchinson with pastor Tim Adrian officiating the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Bob and Louise Warner of Johnson. The groom is the son of Leonard and Jannita Reiss of Newton.

Grandparents are Lester and Neoma Flaming of Hillsboro, Wandalou Journagan and Loren Reiss, both of Meade, and Gene and Dorothy Gum of Denver. Great-grandfather is Frank W. Peters of Hillsboro.

Matron of honor was April Walcher of Hutchinson. Best man was the groom’s father.

Bridesmaids were Elisabeth Orr of Oberlin and Stacy Zerr of Colby. Flower girl was Joy Reiss, of Newton, sister of the groom.

Groomsmen were Jason Garrett of Campbellsville, Ky., and Christopher Waller of Sterling. Ring bearer was Isaiah Gum of Salina, cousin of the bride.

Ushers were Joe Warner of Wichita, Bobby Warner of Haven and Billy Warner of Hutchinson, all brothers of the bride; Brian Leisher of Okeene, Okla.; Eli Svaty of Ellsworth; James Reiss of Newton, brother of the groom; and Luke Cureton of Sterling.

Guestbook attendants were Nicole Mandeville of Salina and Maria Reiss of Newton, sister of the groom.

Taper lighters were the mothers of the bride and groom.

Musicians were The Hodges Family, a brass quartet of Sterling; Westside Men’s Quartet of Hutchinson; and the Hutchinson String Quartet.

Escorted by her father, the bride’s gown was fitted white satin with a beaded corset and cathedral-length train. The gown was highlighted with a scalloped neckline, short sleeves and a full skirt.

The reception was held in the church fellowship hall. Hosts were Arlene Jantz of Newton; Patty Furrow of Aurora, Colo.; Barbara Cardiasmenos of Billings, Mo.; Penny Coonis of Fairgrove, Mo.; Dawna Gum of Salina; Tammy Heidel of Hillsboro and Kora Flaming of Denver, both aunts of the groom.

The bride is a graduate of Sterling College and is employed as a music teacher at Trinity Catholic School in Hutchinson.

The groom is a graduate of Berean Academy. He is attending and employed at Sterling College and plans to graduate in December.

The rehearsal dinner was held on May 27 at Underhill Farms in Moundridge and hosted by the groom’s parents.

Following a honeymoon to Corpus Christi, Texas, the couple resides in Hutchinson.
