Open house honors
Van Burens’ 50th

Ronald “Ronnie” and Delores (Yoakem) Van Buren will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Saturday, July 3, at the Burns Community Center.

The couple were married July 3, 1954, in Marion. They have lived in El Dorado for 48 years and now spend summers at their farm northeast of Burns. During the winter, they live in Alamo, Texas.

Ronnie was employed with Skelly Getty Texaco for 37 years and has been retired for 11 years.

Their children are Rick Van Buren of Lawrence, Pam Blackwell of Altamont, Mark Van Buren of El Dorado and Debra Ensz of Potwin. They have 11 grandchildren.

Friends and family are invited to attend the open house. Cards may be sent to the couple at RR 1, Box 135, Burns KS 66840.

The couple requests no gifts.
