Marion, Hillsboro to hold elections Tuesday, April 6

Voters in Marion and Hillsboro are the only ones in Marion County who will have local elections to participate in Tuesday, April 6.

In Marion, two candidates are running for the mayoral position being vacated by Eloise Mueller: Troy Leith and Martin C. Tice.

All voting in Marion will be done at Emmanuel Baptist Church, with polls open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

In Hillsboro, two incumbent members of the Hillsboro City Council are running unopposed for reelection: Shelby Dirks from the First (West) Ward and Byron C. McCarty from the Second (East) Ward.

First Ward voters will cast their ballots from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at city hall, while voters from the Second Ward will cast ballots in the Wohlgemuth Music Education Center on the Tabor College campus.
