Bluejays advance to conference tournament finals

Tabor College advanced to the KCAC post season tournament championship game on Tuesday night with a 66-61 win over the Falcons of Friends University.



Tabor trailed by as many as six points in the first half but rallied to grab a 30-29 lead at halftime.



Tabor stretched its lead to eight points at 53-45 with 9:49 to play, but Friends crept back into the game and eventually cut the lead to just one point at 62-61 with 1:05 to play.



Tabor was able to connect on four of six free throws in the final minute to secure their 16th win of the season against 14 losses.



Tyson Ratzlaff and Jared Reese led the Bluejays with 15 while Anthony Monson had 11 and Jeremiah Randall added 10.



Tabor hit 43 percent from the field while Friends connected on 38 percent.



Tabor will play the Sterling Warriors on Tuesday night in Hillsboro for the tournament title. Game time is 7:00
