EDITORIAL: Good news at Tabor

Only one week ago, we were bemoaning the resignation of Tim McCarty as Tabor’s head football coach. Today we are reporting the hiring of Mike Gardner to take his place. Everything we have heard about Gardner’s contributions to the team as the Bluejays’ defensive coordinator the past three years indicates he is the ideal choice to fill the huge void left by McCarty’s departure.

Without question, Gardner is a quality person as well as a respected coach. The fact that he is on board in just one week means the smoothest of all possible transitions. Welcome aboard, Coach Gardner. We’re glad you’re here. -DR
