The Hillsboro Trojans moved their record to 11-2 with a convincing 59-38 win over the Cowboys of Abilene Tuesday night.

Abilene jumped on top early 7-3 behind the play of 6-6 Ryan Herman, but the Trojans turned up the defensive heat and when Eric Weinbrenner hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer, Hillsboro led 13-11 after the first quarter.

Hillsboro continued to bother Abilene defensively and forced 14 first half turnovers, eventually leading 34-22 at the half on the strength of 14 first half points by Weinbrenner.

The second half found Hillsboro on cruise control as they coasted to a 51-29 third quarter lead and settled for the 59-38 win.

Weinbrenner led the Trojans with 20 points but was supported by Tyler Peachey who added 16 points in the 21-point win.
