The Tabor College women dropped a 78-65 decision to a powerful University of Sioux Falls team Friday nite in Hillsboro.

Trixsi Odom led Tabor is scoring with 12 points while Rachelle Wertenberger and Jill Hein both added 11 points.

The Bluejays connected on just 34.3 percent of their shots from the field while Sioux Falls hit 48.1 percent.

With the loss the Bluejays fall to 6-7 on the season, and face Concordia University Saturday in a rematch of a game earlier this year at Nebraska that Tabor won 73-64 in overtime.

The Tabor men were tied with the Rangers 31-31 at halftime, but eventually dropped a 75-67 decision.

Rebounding was a huge factor as Tabor was out boarded 44-27 allowing Northwest Oklahoma State to score 22 second chance points to just nine for the Bluejays.

Tabor turned the ball over just 10 times, dished out 17 assists, connected on 11 of 14 free throws, and shot 45.5 percent for the game, but the rebounding deficit told the story.

Tabor was led by Anthony Monson who scored 14 points, and Jeremiah Randall who added 13 points.

With the loss the Bluejays fall to 4-9 for the season with a 7:00 matchup set with St. Gregory set for Saturday.
