The Hillsboro Arts & Crafts Association has announced the appointment of a new fair director.

Christy Wulf, 35, and husband Lincoln moved to Hillsboro from Neodesha on Aug. 15. Lincoln is the head coach for men’s soccer and director of retention at Tabor College.

The couple have two children, Harrison, 7, and Madison, 4.

Wulf will officially begin her duties Jan 1. Former director Donna Diener held that position for the past three years and resigned the post effective Dec. 31.

Wulf earned a degree in journalism with an emphasis in business communications from the University of Kansas.

Past positions held by Wulf include assistant director for the William Inge Theater Festival in Independence for one year, coordinator of Elder Hostle activities for the Inge Festival for one year, marketing and communications assistant at Sterling College for 11/2 years and programs coordinator for the Kansas Taxpayers Network for one year.

“I really enjoy working in events, and I’m very excited about it,” Wulf said about accepting the position as fair director.

“I’m hoping my background can help the festival. I’d like to spread the word about it and make sure the surrounding communities and also the wider-spread area know more about the festival and how great it is.”
